ABSTRACT

            This project is aimed at developing an online Intranet Training Portal Application that is of importance to either an organization or a college. The term Portal implies the gateway for the employees of an organization. The project report on Training Portal Application consists of three different phases. The first phase is the front-end which is designed by HTML & JAVASCRIPT with Java Servlets as interface.

      Second phase, which constitutes the core phase of this project, consists of the documents these are Business case and vision, User requirements document, Software requirements document, detailed design, Logical database design.

        Third phase is the back-end which is designed by MS SQL Server 2000.

Trainee of an organization will login into the application and will update his profile which is stored in database. This update must be approved by approver. Instructor will take care of adding a course and changing the schedule of courses and will give feed back on trainees. All these things are maintained by system administrator. Once either the trainee or instructor will update their profiles then that will be stored in database.

 Existing System:

In the present day system, most of the companies are incorporating

a training procedure for their trainees manually. This method of training imparts both economical and technical difficulties to both the company and the trainee. The training procedure adopted by the company involves huge level of man power and other facilities which adds further more difficulties to the company for their maintenance and others etc.

 Proposed System:

The project entitled with “TRAINING PORTAL APPLICATION” is one of the best alternatives provided for the training procedure to be adopted by a company. This application provides an online training for the trainees on various courses whatever they required. The benefit of undertaking a test on particular course through online can be provided for the trainee. After going through all the tests he/she is approved by the company and they are forwarded for their projects.
