ABSTRACT
The online exam enables the end users to take online test and displays the test result immediately after the test completes. An end user taking the test has to answer all the test questions within a fixed time limit, failing which the test stops automatically. An alert window cautions the user , when the last two minutes are left for the test complete. End users willing to quit the test in middle are alerted to attempt all the test questions. An end user taking the online test can check the correct answers for every question after checking the test result. The result window for the test result displays the total marks obtained, percentages of marks and the correctness of every question attempt. The online test application uses a time counter to calculate the time. A timer displays the time elapsed after the start of the test. The online test application is developed in java language. Questions and answers for the online test are stored in a separate file.
The aim of the project is to design a graphical user interface that helps in conducting online test to the students and give the result on the spot on time taken as the constraint. This helps to evaluate the performance of the student as per his current knowledge in java.

The project titled Online Exam allows us to prompt questionnaire to the students. The features of this project are
- There are 25 Questions in a window with four options given.
- He can choose only one option at a time.
- Time is the constraint for answering the questions.
- The result is evaluated immediately after answering the questions within the given time
- It is designed to meet any University or institution’s requirements to know the skills of the student without any mistakes saving time and money
EXISTING SYSTEM
Currently, whenever a Student wants to take a test , he has to go to the exam center. It is a time consuming process and some times if they want to attend for the international exams it is not possible to go there. Using the old process we have to wait for a long time for results.
PROPOSED SYSTEM In order to eliminate the drawbacks of the existing system, a system has been developed due to which the student need not spend much time in taking the exam, he can easily write the exam and get the result at that moment only.
