ABSTRACT
The aim of Net-Call Center Manager project is to manage the net to phone customers who wish to make phone calls either domestic or international, in or via an internet center. Now a days, making phones becoming very expensive. By the advent of internet, by connecting our phone to internet, we will be able to make phone calls at very affordable rates. Internet management will issue cards to their customers upon payment of some money as deposit. Now if the customer wishes to make a phone call to any country, he can come to the internet center or he can ask the center management to connect him from his residence or office.
Net to phone package is intended for the use of net center management. This package enables them to maintain the customer database, calls information and necessary reports.
Net to phone package has 2 types of users: 1. administrator 2. Users who enter the customer phone call information.
Features:
- Customer: The net center management can add a new customer, with the details like: he wishes to make domestic or international calls, whether the customer is active or inactive, and what card type he is issued: platinum, gold, silver or bronze. This card type taken by the customer determines any discounts in bills.
- Editing, deleting the customer information is possible. The net center people can also list all the customers or show only specific customer information.
- Tariff: This module lists out available countries, and charges for each country.
- Call Record: This feature records all the calls information along with duration, time of call, customer and called numbers.
- Payments: This module verifies how much amount is paid by the customer and how much he has used out of it and how much amount is still available in his account.
- Settings: This option helps to set the date and call tariffs.
- Reports: This is very powerful option in this package. All sorts of reports can be taken using this option. There are 3 types of reports.
(a) Customer: This displays and prints Active/Inactive customer information and how many Domestic/international calls has been made by the customers.
(b) Payment: Monthly payments and Customer wise payments are handled using this report.
(c) Call History: Day-wise and Month wise calls information is displayed. It is also useful to see country- wise calls information.
Existing System: In the existing system people who are having local phones at their homes are unable to make phone calls to outside. To satisfy this need people need to go to telephone booth directly, connect to a number, talk for sometime and pay the bill. In this process the shop keeper needs to store all customer bills, payments and credits in a book to track all the business needs. Since maintaining all these details manually is a tedious process and time consuming we need a software application which automates all these things and track the business details efficiently.
Disadvantages:
1. The shop keeper needs to maintain the information about customer,
call information, payments and credits manually.
2. If the shop keeper wants payment information about a customer
then he needs to search through out the entire book manually.
3. The shop keeper needs to calculate the amount as per the new tariff
rates.
4. He can’t get the overall business report.
Proposed System: The proposed system is a software application which tracks the details about different customers, calls, payments and credits. It allows the shop keeper to change the customer address and other details any point of time. Using this the shop keeper can collect some advance amount and allows the customer to connect to outside from their home phones, calculate the amounts based on the no of minutes and the pulse rate to the country that the customer has made a call. He can get the remaining balance of any customer on a single click.
Advantages:
- This system computerizes the process of storing the information regarding customers, payments, advance amounts and remaining.
- This system helps the shop keeper to get the customer information at any point of time.
- This system automatically calculates the call rates based on the listed tariffs
- This system also generates the customer-wise and date wise business report
